A Note on This Beer
3 Sons Brewing has had their own taproom for little more than a year, but they’ve already had the attention of the country’s beer geeks for over half a decade.
Head brewer Corey Artanis spent years picking up cult-level interest before realizing his dreams of opening a brewery. He went from homebrewing for friends and local taps to honing his craft with Cigar City, and finally starting his own brewery in 2015. After he won the People’s Choice Awards for Best Beer and Best Brewery at the Hunahpu's Day Beer Festival (twice), things really took off!
Now, beer nerds in South Florida are lucky if they can get inside the building (even before capacity regulations came into effect in 2020). For the fortunate fans that do make it in, 3 Sons’ ever-popular Hazy IPAs are practically irresistible.
Today’s Dope Down Under is a brand-new rendition of 3 Sons’ fan-favorite Dopealicious IPA, brewed with all Southern Hemisphere hops. It’s got locals crying out, “This is the best IPA I have ever had!”
Corey and his crew brewed and voraciously dry-hopped this hazebomb with Nelson Sauvin, Motueka, and Vic Secret Hops. Every plush sip smacks with flavors of ripe pineapple, lychee, lemon-lime, and a hint of grape bubblegum sweetness.
It drinks smooth like a melty snow cone blended with real tropical fruit juices, magnified by a zesty hop kick and a buzzworthy 7.4% ABV. But, you better grab it fast — with the way craft junkies hunt for 3 Sons’ beers, we don’t expect Dope Down Under to stick around for long!
