A Note on This Beer
We mention oats in IPAs quite a bit. But, we never go over why brewers have become so obsessed with this adjunct grain in today’s Hazies.
It’s all about mouthfeel, folks! That’s why, in addition to dry-hopping with a succulent array of Ella, Vic Secret, and Galaxy Hops, the Brix City team used heaps of flaked oats in Dope Nose IPA — for full-bodied, elegant juice that flows across the tongue!
While you’re sipping this juicebomb, we suggest doing so in a few different ways to really indulge in that quenching, fluffy-thick body:
Quick Preview: Take a quick sip to cleanse the palate and offer your taste buds a glimpse of the rich fruit notes in the brew. Don’t be surprised if its smoothness streams across the palate rather quickly!
Let it Linger: Sip again, this time holding the brew in your mouth and letting its ripe grapefruit, passionfruit, and pineapple flavors coat the tongue all over. The full body enhances the fruity goodness, making you feel like you snagged a taste straight from a juicery.
Slow & Steady: Now’s the time to drink deeply, taking a full swig and enjoying bursts of citrus and fresh-cut tropical fruit from start to finish! Note the resinous pine that rises up from the finish, not to mention the dreamy satisfaction that follows every juicy, pillowy sip.
