About This Beer
Not only did Fonta Flora take inspiration from their pals at Perennial to craft Doppio, they teamed up with them to make it!
Influenced by Perennial’s legendary Sump Coffee Stout, the team began with a roasty imperial base using several specialty malts and FF’s favorite Stout yeast. Then they racked the full-bodied brew into bourbon barrels to age for four whole years. Finally, they conditioned Doppio on heaps of freshly-roasted Sump coffee beans to infuse it with rich espresso nuances.
Tasting Notes
Expect the ‘24 to serve fudgy cocoa and strong java in every velvety quaff. Anticipate waves of whiskey caramel, silky vanilla, and a hint of barrel char rounding out the taste.
