About This Beer
Fonta Flora crafted the double-mashed base with a blend of four different specialty malts and their favorite Stout yeast strain. Then they aged the dark brew in freshly-emptied Buffalo Trace Bourbon barrels for 15 months.
Once the whiskey-soaked sipper emerged, the GABF-winning team infused it with freshly toasted cardamom and a whisper of that ancient Appalachian sea salt.
Tasting Notes
Lush and layered tones of caramel and cocoa take on the smooth, vanilla-accented twang of Kentucky bourbon. Cardamom’s distinct, nearly-citrusy earthiness makes an excellent pairing nestled within the roasty mocha notes of this thick and luxurious beer.
