About This Beer
For this complex Imperial Stout, they aged their dry, roasty Avarice base in whiskey barrels that previously held sherry for subtle vinous tones. Then they followed it up with another stint in oak — this time Colorado single malt whiskey barrels.
Tasting Notes
The stunning result is an intricate dram with nuances of bitter baking chocolate accentuated by hints of sweet Bing cherry and pale caramel. As it warms, oaky vanilla blooms along with a warming 21.5% ABV.

Gigantic, enormous, massive flavor and barrel bomb. The first 3 or 4 sips rang really sweet, but then as it warmed and the ABV warmed me, it got more and more decadent and delicious.
