A Note on This Beer
“This is the kind of beer that makes it clear why Parish is so sought-after in the Southeast, and also justifies the NE-IPA style itself on many levels…it’s a beautiful beer.”
That’s how the folks at Paste Magazine described today’s mind-blowingly juicy DDH Bloom IPA. Right before they named it the #5 IPA in the World!
Yep, that’s right.
This pillowy-soft, 6.7% ABV quencher from down in Lafayette, Louisiana beat out highly-sought after beers from masters like Tree House, Other Half and Trillium!
Double dry-hopped with a whopping 7.5lbs of Citra and Nugget Hops, Bloom bursts with a powerfully piney floral bouquet. As one smitten UT fan puts it, this juicy brew is “like springtime in a glass.”
Huge flavors of tangy pineapple, pithy orange peel and a slight zing of white peppercorn wash over the tastebuds. With a touch of papaya and a kick of resin on the finish, Bloom will satisfy your NE-style IPA cravings for good.
But unless you spend your summers down on the Bayou and are willing to stuff yourself into Parish’s tiny taproom in the middle of the sticky Southern heat, I’ll bet you’ve only dreamed of tasting this astounding 4.36 UT-rated brew.
Well, dreams really do come true! Because we called up our pals at Parish and secured the only stash of DDH Bloom leaving Cajun Country.
Oh, and while you’re loading up on bottles for yourself, consider grabbing a few extras for your buddies, too. That way, when they start spouting off about their favorite IPA makers, you can hand them a bottle of DDH Bloom and say, “Have you tried Parish?”
