About This Beer
To craft this utterly unique treat, the EP crew started with a long, 12 hour boil, giving the brew intense, natural caramelization. Then they fermented it with their house lager yeast for a crisp, clean sip before lagering it for five months in their American oak foeder. Finally, the brewers aged the beer in a combination of bourbon and port barrels for an additional 12 months.
Tasting Notes
Decadent notes of rich toffee, caramel-coated date, and toasted brioche course through every velvety, complex quaff. Dried plum and dessert wine tones swirl underneath, seeping into hints of vanilla oak and cocoa. Whispers of whiskey and baking spice carry on a dry, crisp finish, further obscuring the bold 14% ABV.
