A Note on This Beer

I love biting into sweet and slightly tart stone fruit jam generously spread over a piece of freshly toasted bread. It always has me daydreaming of early mornings watching the golden sunrise through the leaves of peach and apricot trees.

Now you can grasp that feeling of morning bliss too, with today’s Sour Ale limited release: Double Stone Jam!

The brewers make it with Cascade Hops, peaches, and apricots, which has fans on Untappd like @Mallory C. gushing: “On the sweeter side, just how I like ‘em.”

This drool-worthy new delight is brought to you by Foundation Brewing Company located in Portland, Maine. The brewery’s commitment to small-batches and innovative flavors earned them a place on Thrillist’s Best New Breweries in America!

But, Foundation’s brews are hard to find outside the Northeast. So, this may be your only chance to try this limited release that will have you believing you’re scooping homemade jam straight from the jar!

Grab yourself a couple cans of Double Stone Jam and maybe a spoon, too — it’s time to dig in!

This beer is too new for ratings!

Effervescent and fruity, good levels of sourness without being overbearing. Very easy to drink.

I was disappointed. The label was better than the beer.

Kinda what I imagine gayness tasting like. Fruity, creamy, and a little zing that makes you go “Hm...that’s nice, but a little quirky.”

Much tamer than I expected as I was hoping for some tasty tart beer. Note to anyone: make sure you read the can so you don’t dump sediment in your glass like an idiot like I did.

excellent offering in the fruited beer category. real peach aromatics up front, notes of honeysuckle, under ripened peaches, raspberry and finishing effervescent on the palette!
