About This Beer
For Double Sunset, the NY beer legends started with a rich, cocoay base. They accentuated it with Sightglass’ Blueboon coffee roast, imbuing the brew with mellow chocolate, bright citrus, and ripe stone fruit notes. They folded vanilla and milk sugar in for an extra velvety quaff and aged it all in bourbon barrels for a decadent dousing of whiskey caramel.
Tasting Notes
Pour a glass, and it’s like stepping into an artisanal café. Roasty aromas waft through the air with nuances of cocoa and toffee. Deep, dark mocha flavors cascade across the palate with each swig, with a spritz of orange blossoming just underneath. Bourbon-soaked creme brûlée and lush latte rise on the end, all of it hiding a 13% ABV.

Hold on to your f****** hat, ‘cause this one’s hot! Thick and smooth, without being syrupy. The bourbon character and booze stand out the most with the adjuncts complementing, which is right up my alley. One heck of a swill!

Good coffee and chocolate notes at the outset. Vanilla smooths out the bourbon-barrel aging and milk sugar adds a touch of sweetness.
