Drakonic (Bourbon Barrel Aged) is among the most sought after releases on the California craft calendar. Frankly, it’s amazing that these beloved bottles have gone un-opened year after year, tucked away in Drake’s cellar.

But it’s also fantastic, because this Heaven Hill Barrel Aged Stout has matured beautifully. This Stout just keeps getting better!

Tasting Notes

Every thick-bodied sip overflows with intricate flavors of whiskey-caramel, silky vanilla, and dark chocolate. Let a drop unravel on the palate, and you might discover gentle notes of coconut and date, with just a bit of roasty espresso. Years in the cellar have subdued that big 11.2% ABV, making it almost undetectable.

Very good bourbon barrel stout! Carmel, dark chocolate, smooth silky finish that lasts a long long time!!! You need to get you one of these!!!! Wish I had another one. Damn this is good.

why is Tavour selling 6 year old barrel aged beers? there’s no barrel character at all. the entire reason your barrel age a beer is for the barrel.

Immediate scent of cacao, accompanied by a smoky coffee and faint licorice taste. Finely laced surface and lightly carbonated with a median mouthfeel. An enjoyable experience similar to Dragons Milk sans sweet.
