About This Beer
The crew crafted this balanced cuvée by blending seven of their legendary dark brews*, all aged in the finest bourbon, rum, rye, and wine barrels, French and American oak — and even Brazilian amburana wood.
Underneath, there’s barley, rye, and oats, plus a swirl of lactose to keep things creamy. And Revolution finished this decadent sipper on 2.5 lb of Dark Matter Coffee per barrel.
Tasting Notes
Revolution calls this sweetly roasty, layered breakfast blend “probably the most complex Deep Wood beer we’ve ever produced.”
Take a sip and you might think you’re washing down a short stack of maple-drenched waffles with a cup of java, but “almost all of this complexity is coming from the wood.”

maple, coffee and barrel? what more could you ask for in this. Rev stouts are always thin bodied, but they’re heavy in flavor and quality

Creamy head, maple syrup aroma with hints of bourbon, coffee, and smoke, sweet cocoa taste with maple and vanilla notes, and a warming bourbon finish.

This was awesome. Typical Revolution barrel aged quality but this one felt elevated by more flavors dancing through as you go from sip to mouth to swallow. Super good stuff.
