About This Beer

Hoppin’ Frog’s Turbo Shandies are anything but your average Radler! Rather than water them down or cut them, the Ohio crew always starts with a Citrus Ale base and amps up the booze to 7% ABV. And they layered this one with ube and pineapple for a super refreshing, ultra unique twist ideal for summertime sipping!

Tasting Notes

Every purple pour erupts with lemon grove aromas, gorgeously citrusy with floral hints wafting throughout. On the swig, luscious pineapple swirls with nuances of succulent citrus, while ube brings a satisfyingly silky, almost creamy body. Tangy tropical nectar flows into semi-earthy, toasted marshmallow tones on the finish.

Bright citrusy aroma with an interesting depth. Sweet, somewhat creamy taste in the palate with tropical notes and a touch of slightly deep stone fruit. Really interesting for sure.

Purple pour with a foamy pink head. Aroma is a mixture of grape soda and pineapple juice. Taste is the same. Quite an odd combo, but very refreshing.
