A Note on This Beer
“Mead” is a silly name for a drink. It sounds like you’re mispronouncing “meat,” which is funny, albeit very misrepresentative of the fermented honey and silky thickness that actually defines these sweet sippers.
So, I think I’ll take some notes from Superstition Meadery’s enormous fan base and start using terms like “liquid art” and “fluid dessert fuel” to refer to Meads from here on out!
Today’s 6% ABV fluid dessert fuel is a sparkling prickly pear rendition, flowing with real cacti fruit juice and succulent notes of florals and clover! The Superstition folks call it Dune Bloom, while folks like @Tucson C. go with “Absolutely wonderful.”
Though, if you’re at all familiar with this Prescott, AZ Meadery, the praise won’t come as a surprise. Superstition’s liquid art mastery has earned them a spot as one of the Top 15 Meaderies in the World on Untappd, plus a whole trophy case of Mazer Cup* Gold Medals!
Now, this is only the second-ever Sparkling Session Mead we’ve had at Tavour, and it’s highly likely you didn’t even see the last one, it went so fast. No matter what you call it, this exceptional prickly pear delight won’t stay around long!
