A Note on This Beer
Today’s Easy Evil tastes as if a heavy metal brewer drenched a deliciously sour Saison in thousands of fresh-picked berries.
Oh wait, that’s exactly what happened!
Inspired by one of Headbrewer Gabe Fletcher’s personal favorite bands, Mos Generator, and specifically by one of their songs, Anchorage Brewing went hardcore to make this jammy rockstar. Gabe fermented this Saison on two strains of Brettanomyces in oak tanks and aged it on 10,000 lbs of black raspberries!
Take a sip and it’s like experiencing front row seats to Gabe’s one-brew show!
Aromas of fresh-picked berries and woody yeast start the performance. Then the vibrant berry notes jam-out on high! A chorus of Citrus hums in the background from Motueka and Saaz Hops, while the duo Brett strains join the palate party for a grand 8% ABV finale.
We can just picture Gabe brewing Easy Evil, blaring Mos Generator, air guitaring and headbanging all the while.
If this beer is Gabe’s rockstar performance, then you’ve got the backstage hook-up — because bottles of Easy Evil almost never leave Alaska!
So when you’re enjoying the complex notes of Easy Evil, just be sure to drink it the way Gabe intended: jamming out between every sip!
