A Note on This Beer
Today, you have a chance to taste Dwinell’s new Echo Chamber - Barrel Aged Syrah Wild Ale — even before Washington’s ravenous fans!
Very few have tried this thirst-quenching wine-beer hybrid. The brewers only made 3.5 barrels in total, which roughly translates to less than 100 cases in existence!
To craft Echo Chamber, Dwinell brewed a Farmhouse Saison with sprouted wheat and rye grains, and 10-year-aged, whole leaf hops. Then, they added over 100 lbs of hand-picked Syrah wine grapes and aged it for 6 months in freshly-dumped Syrah oak barrels.
This spritzy brew is complex yet refreshing, with a delightful fruitiness to boot. It’s bright and easy-drinking, and has only a mildly puckering acidity that gives way to subtle earthy funk and a dry, red wine-like finish.
Bring a bottle of Echo Chamber to the family BBQ and transform your plate of spareribs into a 3-star Michelin meal. And, since it’s so difficult to get a bottle of Echo Chamber (even in Dwinell’s home state) you can start a boast-worthy conversation with it, too.
That is, IF you’re quick enough to nab one of the few remaining bottles we have left at Tavour!
