About This Beer
For this stunner, the dark beer specialists at FiftyFifty started with a GABF award-winning base brimming with cocoa and espresso notes. Then they aged it in a variety of premium rye barrels for a minimum of six months.
Tasting Notes
Decadent dark mocha currents cascade into vanilla oak and rye spice on every silky sip. Three years in the cellar has mellowed the 12.8% ABV to liquid velvet and richened the cocoay depths.

After 3 years, perhaps just a tad beyond its prime.

tasty, but rye is too strong for the sweet stout backdrop

Lots of cocco. Spice from the Rye, tart cherry, and not much of a booze flavor or finish. Decent beer but I prefer their bourbon finish over the Rye.

This was awesome. Deep flavor and some age on it. Happy I cracked it but wonder what another year would do.
