A Note on This Beer
Until recent years, Kentucky was known for derbies and whiskey. Now, thanks to Braxton Brewing, the Bluegrass State can add Hazy IPAs to that list.
This crew of hop experts snagged Brewbound’s prestigious Rising Star Award for their impact on the craft beer scene. Out of nearly 8,000 breweries in the nation, only 5 to 6 get to claim this honor each year!
Today’s Edge of Mysteries DDH Azacca exemplifies Braxton’s mastery. The brewers say it’s the “culmination of over a year of experimentation” to find the perfect malt bill. Sure enough, the brew sips down incredibly smooth and pillowy.
Their skills extend way beyond the malts too. Braxton used only a touch of Citra Hops in the whirlpool for whispers of tangerine and grapefruit, then flooded the brew with juicy mango, papaya, and orange citrus flavors from a double dry-hopped helping of Azacca.
Aside from right here, this Kentucky-born beauty can only be found in its home state — and usually only at Braxton’s taproom. Now’s your chance to taste just how shiny Braxton’s hop stardom really is.
