Pucker up, Sour lovers! If you’ve been wishing for a crisp, tart Farmhouse Ale to usher in those warm days of summer, this is your genie in a bottle. 

If I had three wishes, this is how I’d use them: 

1. Transport myself to a sunny day in Sparta, Illinois, where I can go beer tasting at White Rooster Farmhouse Brewery.
2. Get my hands on their fan-favorite Sour Ale, Elliptic Blend #3. 
3. Fill my fridge from top to bottom with this thirst-quenching, funky brew. 

But, even with a genie’s magic, that third wish is impossible because we only have 120 bottles of Elliptic Blend #3 to go around. This small-batch, annual release is so coveted by local Farmhouse fans that it rarely leaves the state!  

White Rooster aged this ale in an oak foeder for seven months to give it tangy notes of earthy funk, hints of orange zest, and just a whisper of lavender at the finish.
