About This Beer
To craft this sophisticated sipper, the Fort George crew started with a rich, English-style Barleywine base aged for 20 months in Westward whiskey barrels. Then they blended that with an American Barleywine aged 12 months in Westward whiskey barrels before mixing in a small portion of “Red Barleywine” aged in Russell rye barrels for 12 months.
Tasting Notes
Every swig is an education of balance, with decadent date and raisin tones gorgeously blending with gooey caramel and oaky vanilla tones. Brown sugar and delicate cocoa tones swirl underneath, melting into woody spice on the finish.
