A Note on This Beer
In Spring of 2019, the folks at Garagiste Meadery visited Barcelona and fell in love with Spanish wine.
So deeply in love that they decided to import red Mataró grapes from Spain’s famed Alicante wine region.
The result is today’s Eulalia, a decadent Pyment-style Mead — basically a wine/mead hybrid — blended with organic honey and the highly tannic Mataró grapes. Mixed yeast fermentation and oak aging create surprising layers of dark fruit, wood spice, and earthy clover, making each 14% ABV sip into a semi-sweet dance across the tongue.
Enjoy it as an after-dinner delight or on a long weekend afternoon — just make sure you have plenty of time set aside to really delve into the surprising complexity hiding in this bottle!
And grab it soon, because we have less than 40 cases of Eulalia to go around.
*Winner of multiple international awards, Garagiste is also the #6 highest-rated Meadery in the world on Untappd!
