A Note on This Beer
Go ahead, pass this unfiltered Euro Spliff to your weird cousin — if he’s at all like my weird cousin, he’ll try anything with ‘spliff’ in the name. But make sure you have plenty of cans, because once he tries this bright, crisp Pilsner, it’ll be the only spliff he ever wants.
This Euro Spliff was rolled up by Pennsylvania’s Separatist Beer Project, one of Thrillist’s 32 Hottest Breweries in America Right Now. And once I got a taste, I just had to share it with all of you!
Separatist has only been around for a few years, but they’re already so beloved in the Keystone State, they’ve expanded beyond their hometown of Easton with a tasting room in South Philly.
That doesn’t mean they’re easy to find — this particular Euro Spliff may be legal in all 50 states, but it’s nearly impossible to find outside of PA!
Crack open this unfiltered Pils, and delicate floral notes come sprouting up from generous additions of Hallertauer Mittelfrüh Hops. Take a drink, and bright citrus tumbles across the taste buds, while delicate earthy qualities on the finish insist you open another can.
And with its super-sessionable 4.2% ABV, you can puff (or sip) on Euro Spliff all day long!
Plus, according to my weird cousin, it’s great for quenching cottonmouth.
