My buddy Todd recently told me about a brewery he visited that was decked out in black decor with heavy metal blasting over the speakers. Despite the hardcore appearances, he was disappointed to see their beers fall totally flat.

So of course, I had to suggest Todd try Adroit Theory instead — these metalhead brewers are the real deal. They craft some of the biggest, baddest hopbombs in Virginia. Their brews are the opposite of flat! 

Today’s Evangelion XIII: Bardiel Edition offers a true taste of their unflinching dedication to hardcore craft. The brewers even say, “it picks up just where the 12th release left off: destroying things!”

If we’re talking about destroying thirst, they’re absolutely right. They double-dry hop this massively thick Triple IPA with hefty doses of Mosaic, Citra, Azacca, Sultanna, and Idaho 7 Hops. 

Prepare your palate for hugely juicy blasts of orange and grapefruit nestled in dank pine resin! There’s a kick of hop bitterness on the finish, then resonating warmth from the 10% ABV.

But as I told Todd, if you want a taste, you have to move fast. Adroit’s local fans are super hardcore too, and they regularly snatch up every drop of Evangelion releases in preorders. Once our stash on Tavour is gone, it’s gone for good!
