A Note on This Beer
Hazy Triple IPA! This massive juicebomb boasts double dry-hopped Mosaic, Citra, Chinook, and rarely-spotted BRU-1, plus a dose of silky lactose. One Succulent Sipper: Bright OJ and juicy pineapple flavors dominate each pillowy-thick sip, with just a little citrus rind bitterness on the finish. You taste the 10% ABV warmth, but it’s incredibly sippable!
If you’ve been part of the Tavour community for any length of time, you’ve heard me rave about Adroit Theory.
I’ve gushed about the juicy complexity of the Virginia brewery’s IPAs and how they often sell out in presales. I’ve noted how everyone from The Beer Travel Guide to the Colorado Sun named them a “Must Try” at the 2019 Great American Beer Festival.
But, what I don’t talk about often is how the Adroit crew is so meticulous with their hop flavors, they plan taste pairings for many of their limited releases!
Today’s Evangelion XVI (Ghost 891) definitely stands on its own as one insanely juicy boozebomb of a Hazy. But, if you’re looking to really elevate your tasting experience, Adroit recommends sipping it alongside smoked duck and potatoes frisee, some Roaring Forties Blue (a gourmet Australian cheese), or a fine Maduro cigar.
Or, one could argue that the colossal, tropical fruit flavors from four kinds of hops — plus milk sugar additions — make this small-batch Triple IPA a luscious feast of its own. Either way, your palate is in for a treat!
*Adroit Theory rarely makes the same beer twice, especially when it comes to their Evangelion series. Now’s your chance to snag it!
