Looking for a conversation starter to bring to the holiday dinner table? Can’t go wrong with Adroit Theory!

These metalhead brewers are just too cool, I can’t help gushing about ‘em whenever I can! Anytime someone suggests I “must try the cranberry sauce,” I don’t hesitate to weave in the fact that everyone from The Beer Travel Guide to the Colorado Sun named Adroit a Must Try Brewery at the 2019 Great American Beer Festival.

And today, their ultra-juicy and super boozy Evangelion XV: Arael Edition is my latest Adroit obsession.

They double dry-hopped it with an incredible mix of Mosaic, Citra, Simcoe, Galaxy, and Southern Passion Hops, and then hit it with a load of lactose. It absolutely oozes with creamy citrus juiciness!

A wash of ripe pineapples greets the palate up front, followed by flavors of candied orange peel and mango sweet cream. Only toward the finish does any semblance of its massive 10% ABV become apparent, and that’s only after the pleasing, piney dankness starts to dissipate.

My family USED to get so tired of my Adroit ravings, until I gave them a taste of one. Now, they’re the ones who can’t stop talking about them at every gathering! When I bring this Evangelion XV to the next one, you can bet we’re all going to be raving like happy lunatics.
