A Note on This Beer
We’re approaching the season of evil, the kiddos are trick or treating, and the adults? They’ll be partying with Evil Dead Red Ale in hand.
Rated the #3 Red Ale in the world, AleSmith Brewing Company’s Evil Dead Red has returned once again with a spicy, roasted malt, sinister display of hops that signifies autumn’s devilish spirit. And it comes equipt with enough fiendish flavors to smash the pumpkin beer spotlight.
Pour this 6.66% dark russet demon with caution, it leaves a much stronger impression than the first sip suggests. Evil Dead’s fruity nose is flush with apricots, orange peel and sharp pine. The malts ride a top-heavy slap of bitter resin before settling into a bready buffet of toasted caramel and nutmeg, followed with a rush of citrus bitters to carry out a smooth, dry finish.
Halloween is the time of year when you can be anything you want; so don’t get lost in a patch of pumpkin ales, and don’t limit yourself to just one bottle of Evil Dead Red.
