A Note on This Beer
Check it out man, there’s a Very Important Hop Party going down at Denver’s Upslope! These 7 GABF medal-winning, hop connoisseurs fly to hop fields in Yakima every year to explore hop varieties, and discover new hops. And when they throw a shindig, every fruity-hop who’s any fruity-hop is gonna be there.
In their 2018 Experimental IPA Upslope combines juicy elements of the NE-style IPA with higher IBUs, and a bit of Rye Malt to create an unfiltered hoppy bonanza. This focused approach brings the haze fans and the more traditional IPA enthusiasts together.
The Hoparazzi was drawn in by pineapple aromas of Denali on the nose. They caught a glimpse of sweet apricot, juicy pear, and subtly tart passionfruit from Galaxy and Azacca in the crowd. There were a few tropical and piney snapshots of Vic Secret showed up in the afterparty finish.
You should hear what people were saying about the party flavors at Experimental IPA’s release. One fan was quoted saying “This beer is loaded with so many strongly tropical hops, it’s a fruity f**Kfest.” We’re not exactly sure what this means, but we’re damn certain hopheads will love its juicy drinkability.
