About This Beer
These light bodied brews were originally made for fieldhands who spent all day harvesting crops, so they needed a seriously crisp and crushable brew when they came in for the day. And Anchorage’s False Promise continues that tradition.
Tasting Notes
It’s light and a little tangy, with rustic hints of turned earth and cut grass from brettanomyces yeast. And at 3.5% ABV, you can drink two or three of them at lunch and go right back to doing yard work, just like an early 1800s Belgian farmworker.

Interesting beer. The description sounds like they were aiming to create a saison with aspects of a Belgian. The beer meets intent but comes off a bit odd.
