In Swedish culture, Fika is a time-honored custom that involves taking a break from the stress of the day to enjoy a cup of coffee and a sweet treat, like cake or a patisserie, with your friends or colleagues.

In celebration of the practice, the crew at Beer Tree concocted today’s 4.22 UT-rated Coffee Stout. To craft it, they started with a silky base made of oats and 2 Row Barley. Then they loaded it up with coffee, hazelnuts, cinnamon, and creamy milk sugar for some seriously tantalizing café vibes.

Tasting Notes

Rich malty nuances carry gorgeous notes of pulled espresso and roasted nuts through to the silky lactose-laden finish, completely masking the 7.9% ABV.

Delicious. The hazelnut cut through the coffee in the background. Can’t really taste the cinnamon, they’re more like backup singers. overall great stout to enjoy. Right amount of ABV to get the evening started!
