Bottle Logic took home GABF gold with this layered sipper!
They crafted it on a base of English-style Barleywine that took home a gold medal from the Festival of Wood and Barrel-Aged Beer, then aged it in peach brandy barrels. Then they finished the brew with fresh peaches for an incredibly juicy cobbler-like experience.
A swirl of the glass reveals a malty character like brown sugar pie crust wrapped around nuances of boozy and caramelized stone fruit. Some cocoa roastiness comes through along with notes of fig and date. Meanwhile waves of vanilla, leather, and black tea show the barrels’ complexity in each exceptional, 12% ABV sip. And every smooth taste lingers like peach tea — sweet, fruity, and mildly tannic — whispering for you to come back for more.
