A Note on This Beer
I have no idea why Transient named today’s Pale Ale Flightless. One sip of its tropical mango and fresh OJ flavors, and my taste buds are ready for takeoff!
It’s like I can fly higher than an eagle, and, a massive dry-hopping with Nelson Sauvin and Amarillo is the wind beneath my wings. If I keep sipping this stuff, I’m going to end up calling the crew at Transient just to tell them they’re my heroes.
And, I’m not alone — with The Los Angeles Times and The Chicago Tribune showering this Michigan brewery with praise, it seems plenty of folks look up to Transient!
You know, maybe the name means something altogether different. Maybe it refers to the fact that once fans taste this stuff, it’s all they want to drink. One sip and nobody’s going to order a tiny flight-sized pour. So they’ll be “Flightless.”
Or, maybe I’m just thinking too hard about this. I’d better crack open another can and calm down. And, I suggest you do the same. Go ahead, let your taste buds soar across the fruit-flavored skies with your own cans of Flightless.
