About This Beer
To craft Footsteps I, the Louisiana legends aged a Barleywine for a whopping 48 months in cherry brandy barrels. Then they blended it with Imperial Stout that had aged in Willett rye barrels for 45 months. The end result is a showstopper that beautifully balances the flavors of the base beers with remarkable cask character.
Tasting Notes
Enticing brandy aromas waft out of every thick, midnight hued pour. Take a swig and chewy date and fig erupt onto the palate, leading into rich nuances of dried cherry and nutty amaretto tones. Dark chocolate and vanilla oak notes carry underneath with hints of barrel spice, completely obscuring the bold 13% ABV.
