A Note on This Beer
Today’s beer tastes like a scoop of tart passionfruit sorbet with a drizzle of dark chocolate syrup. It’s a combination that could only come from Forbidden Sorcery.
And when it comes to the dark and sour arts, not many breweries can match Urban Family. According to Seattle Magazine, they’re the Best Sour Brewery in the craft-soaked city!
This dark and tangy creation is a prime example of their skills. It starts with the dark chocolate malts of a Stout, but then the wizards at UF use mixed-culture fermentation to bring forth puckering sour notes and hints of wild funk. Over a pound of real passionfruit per gallon balances the tangy tartness with sweet, tropical fruitiness.
The depths of magical flavor are so bold and unusual, fans on UT can’t even agree on what they’re tasting.
- @Tiffany P. says it’s “tart passionfruit with a lingering hint of chocolate.”
- @Brandon L. disagrees, calling out notes of “black currants...and fruity — like berries.”
- But, they’d probably both concur with @Bob T. that it’s “dark and mysterious.”
What will you taste in the dark depths of this brew? There’s only one way to find out! Grab yourself a bottle, throw on your best wizard robes, and experiment with a little Forbidden Sorcery yourself.
