A Note on This Beer
If you’re a fan of rustic Farmhouse Ales, you probably already know about Jester King.
You know about their 165 acre ranch outside of Austin. And you’re likely aware of their stacks of beer awards. You even may have heard that Vinepair named them one of the 35 Most Important Breweries of the Last Decade!
And now they’ve teamed up with Austin’s Live Oak Brewing, one of the oldest craft breweries in Texas. They came in at #31 on Paste Mag’s 50 Best American Breweries of the 2010s, and they’ve been pleasing palates around the state since way back in 1997.
You can experience JK and Live Oak’s wizardry today with Foudreweizen Farmhouse Wheat Ale. To make it, the team took Live Oak’s 2019 GABF Medal-winning Hefeweizen and filled one of Jester King’s oak foudres with it. There, the native yeasts took the brew in startling new directions!
Take a sip, and you’ll find a blend of wild funk and citrus that floods the palate with flavors of lemongrass and fresh baked bread. Like a classic Jester King Wild Ale, but with a thicker mouthfeel and biscuity malts.
If you’re ready to get funky with two of Texas’ finest, grab yourself a bottle of Foudreweizen.
