About This Beer
Firestone Walker’s GABF multi-medalists teamed up with the talented crew at Fonta Flora to create Frazzle Sass — a luscious Wild Ale laden with apricots and nectarines.
Through their artistry, the brewers captured the fleeting pleasure of reveling in peak-season produce. They fermented a funky Ale base — showcasing yeasts from CA and NC — in oak with the stone fruit.
And the result is nothing short of stunning.
Tasting Notes
Each dry and funky quaff highlights apricots’ tangy nuances as well as nectarines’ ambrosial floral juices. The smaller fruits contribute their rich nectar along with a touch of saline minerality and citric tannins verging on lemon pith.
A swirl of the glass reveals even more layers — from tobacco to oaky vanilla, finally going out with a lingering tartness.
