A Note on This Beer
Today’s crave-worthy Oreo cookie Dark Ale is much more than just a great beer!
It's also your chance to be a part of something bigger. To join a movement to spread awareness and support diversity in the craft beer scene you love.
2020 is the very first year Fresh Fest has gone digital! For the uninitiated, this is our country’s first Black-owned beer festival and #2 Best Beer Festival in the Nation, according to USA Today.
The annual event showcases some of the country’s most talented Black brewers, including New Jersey’s Four City.
Four City is known for being forward-thinking and they’ve teamed up with Shubrew, whose name is synonymous with brewing with innovative adjuncts.
Together, they designed a beer as creative as it is delicious. To make it, Four City provided the base recipe from their decadent Dark Ale and Shubrew brought the dessert to the table — they added 50 lbs of Oreo cookies, 10 lbs of locally-roasted coffee beans, 10 lbs of raw cacao, and a heaping dose of vanilla extract.
The result is an indulgent Dark Ale that drinks like a Pastry Stout!
You’re an in-the-know craft fan who has a keen sense for tracking down tasty brews. But here’s a rare chance at a delicious beer that also invites you to be part of the positive change taking place in your beloved scene!
