A Note on This Beer
F-R-E-S-H is the name of the game in Fremont Brewing’s Field to Ferment Amarillo Pale Ale. To preserve ultimate freshness, Fremont acts QUICKLY. To earn the title of “Fresh Hop,” a maximum of 24 hours stands between the hop harvest in WA’s Yakima Valley and brew time -- when they add 16.5 pounds of fresh hop flowers to every barrel of this highly anticipated guzzler.
For a brief period every year, hoards of hopheads flood to Seattle’s beloved Fremont Brewing to taste the bright essence of hops at their peak. Just canned on September 13th and already scoring a 4.07 on Untappd, Field to Ferment Amarillo is, hands down, one of the freshest, juiciest palate pleasers of this year’s fresh hop bounty. Once you taste it, you’ll be counting down the days for your next chance to taste just one more drop of its citrusy pine excellence.
Aromas of sundrenched peach skin rise from a golden yellow pour. Each sip floods your senses with fresh-squeezed oranges, nectarous honeydew melon, and a bitter dusting of pine resin. Notes of bright lemon zest and a hint of spice glide across your tongue with crisp fruity ease.
Short of frolicking through a hop field, this is a fresh hop experience that’s nearly impossible to replicate. Fremont has been brewing around the clock to put their favorite PNW hops on a pedestal, and now with Field to Ferment Amarillo you can taste the some of the freshest hops in the country.
