A Note on This Beer
Struck It Hop Rich: Packed with over 7 lbs of Motueka, Simcoe, Centennial, and Mosaic Hops per barrel. Most Imperial IPAs don’t even go above 5 lbs! Go Flavor Diving: Starts dangerously smooth, with orange and grapefruit citrus blasts and a hint of fresh pine. On the finish comes a plunge of sweet lemongrass, and a juicy shockwave of passionfruit and cantaloupe.
Legend has it that this Fresh Triple IPA - 10/07/20 was brewed in the deepest part of a cave just north of Chicago, where every nook and cranny positively heaves with hops.
This is Hubbard’s Cave, where the IPAs are “abnormally well-balanced, hoppy, flavorful, and delightful,” according to the craft nerds at The Beer Travel Guide!
For today’s abnormally well-balanced, hoppy, and flavorful delight, the Hubbard’s Cave crew crafted a gigantic malt bill, then stretched the limits of the mash tun with a virtual truckload of tropically fruity and pine-forward hops.
If you can’t seem to find intense enough flavor in those regular, everyday IPAs on the grocery store shelf, take some advice from the cave-diving craft fans in Chicago:
“If you like an intensified hoppy IPA, this is for you,” because Triple Fresh IPA is “Dangerous. Good. Pick it up.”
