A Note on This Beer
Today’s beer tastes like a tangy smoothie packed with inhuman amounts of tropical fruit!
In fact, every lush, bursting sip of Fruitbot 7000 makes me imagine a giant robot on the Kings County Brewers Collective canning line in New York, crushing freshly-harvested tropical fruits straight into the cans.
While I’m pretty sure they don’t actually have some scientifically advanced robotic man smashing produce in his metal hands and turning it into beer, the KCBC crew did add mega-sized portions of real fruit: passion fruit, cherry, guava, and lime!
They also sprinkled in some sea salt to enhance the natural, light pucker of the Gose base.
Masterfully, the brewers weave the fruits’ flavors around each other so each has a moment in the spotlight. Sweet passion fruit comes in upfront, followed swiftly by the guava’s strawberry-pear flavors and a flash of citrusy lime. It flows into succulently bright cherry for a nicely tart finish.
If there were an actual fruit-robot that dispensed this juice, I’d go ahead and place it permanently next to my beer fridge. But, until that gets invented, I’m loading up directly on as many cans of Fruitbot 7000 as my fridge shelves will fit. You in?
Eater New York hails the flavor masters behind KCBC as some of “Brooklyn's wildest brewers.”
