A Note on This Beer
Sipping today’s one-time-only 13% ABV s’mores-inspired Imperial Pastry Stout is a privilege that most other Dark Beer fiends won’t get to indulge in...unless they magically figure out how to make spiked liquid s’mores!
That’s because the brewers at the Thrillist-ranked Best Brewery in Minnesota, Fair State Brewing Cooperative, create something drastically different for each anniversary. That means, once this new edition is gone, it's gone forever!
To celebrate their 6th year, they teamed up with their sweet-tooth neighbors at the 4.14 UT-rated Forager Brewing to create a three-part Pastry Stout series. And the first release is sure to keep you warm and toasty this fall — no pesky campfire smoke or boy scout skills required!
Brewed with real marshmallows, graham crackers, cacao nibs, vanilla, and honey, every sip of today’s deliciously experimental FSB: 2019 Part One Imperial Stout tastes just like a gooey fireside treat wrapped in a silky Stout body.
Aromas of honey-drizzled graham crackers, milk chocolate, and marshmallow fluff swirl from the pitch black pour. The first sip soothes with notes of dark cocoa powder, molasses, and creamy vanilla that adds to the ‘mallow sweetness. A hint of campfire char appears on the finish, reminding you of all the times you got your marshmallow too close to the flame.
Miss out on this limited-edition collab, and you’ll have to put an actual s’more in a blender to get a drink that captures these beloved fireside flavors!
This is one of those beers you’ll remember when you look back at everything you’ve tasted this year. It’s also one of those beers that will make your Dark Beer buddies jealous, because if you don’t share, hearing you rave about it is as close to FSB as they’ll get.
