A Note on This Beer
My immediate reaction after sippin’ down the concentrated juicy lychee and dank pineapple flavors in today’s Double IPA was: “What’s a guy gotta do to get another bottle?” That’s the power of hop dust (concentrated hop lupulin), and it’s on full display in Gettin’ Down Hop Dust Double IPA.
This powerful hop bomber is a limited edition, Midwest-only collab between Missouri’s Boulevard and Nebraska’s Zipline. Early votes are in, and Untappd fans are scoring it a 4.1 with fans like @dylan c saying: “I don’t know what hop dust is, but it must be delicious.”
Also called lupulin powder or “Cryo Hops,” this IPA technology extracts every drop of juicy, fruity, hardcore resinous power from hops. Zipline and Boulevard use Mosaic Hop dust in Gettin’ Down, which explodes with tropic fruits and a spicy bitterness. The addition of Galaxy Hops dazzles with their juicy, fruity ways. It’s like an 8.5% ABV juice-pop that’s intense boozy, yet just soft enough to keep me going for another. In other words, it makes me wanna shout: “GIVE ME MORE HOP DUST!”
It speaks volumes when a 7-time GABF Gold-winning Craft King like Boulevard enlists the aid of a smaller Nebraska brewery, but Zipline definitely has the hop skills. They’ve got a shiny GABF Gold of their own, and they showcase their swagger with every sip of Gettin’ Down DIPA.
*No, seriously, where’s my hop dust? Outside of a few select states in the Midwest…Gettin’ Down can only be gotten down right here.
