A Note on This Beer
Remember the scene in Shrek where Lord Farquaad is interrogating the gingerbread man? He breaks the poor guy’s little cookie legs and mockingly “walks” them across the counter while his victim watches in horror.
I know I should’ve felt bad for Gingie. But instead, that scene only made me crave his cinnamon and sugary taste.
Thankfully, I can satisfy my sweet tooth with Evil Twin NYC’s new Gingerbread Imperial Stout!
The brewers stuffed this 12% ABV cookie-lover’s dream with real, scratch-made gingerbread from Rudy’s Bakery & Cafe, along with cardamom, molasses, ginger, and even tutti frutti — a candy flavoring that simulates juicy gumdrop buttons.
On the nose, this sumptuous brew overflows with the intoxicating aromas of gooey caramel and roasted coffee. As you sip, notes of spicy ginger and earthy cardamom rise to the surface, followed by waves of rich baker’s chocolate and silky honey.
I’m stocking up on a few cans for whenever those cookie cravings hit! Thanks to Evil Twin, the gingerbread men of the world are safe — for now.
