Look: dark (almost black), very small head, little lacing Smell: roast, ginger bread (cookie), honey, small spice (cinnamon?) Taste: front end sweet stout, mid taste we get intense honey, backend we get gingerbread cookie and far trailing end we get roast and a bit of booze. Feel: full mouthfeel, a bit of carbonation and then bittering end notes give a bit drying on the end feel We are from Portland OR area and lived in Virginia for a while. We love Hardywood. They are very creative and fun. This beer is interesting because it is intense honey with gingerbread cookie; and full mouthfeel probably from the lactose. There is not intense vanilla or cinnamon, but the flavors profile is all gingerbread cookie mid drink, exactly what it says. It is a 9.2 ABV but they hide it well for those that are not big boozy beer drinkers.

Definitely a fancy, special stout. Really struck by how smooth this was, very intense ginger taste and smell and nicely spiced.

I preferred the Christmas Pancakes over this one.

To thin and WAY to sweet.

Creamy, ginger notes up front, followed by a sugary, chocolate malt that hints at lightly toasted cookies. Finishes with a light bitterness that lingers sweet.

Love the cinnamon

Very dry. More of a “ginger” taste, not gingerbread cookie.

I liked the pancakes better but this was drinkable. Kinda forgettable though.

Maybe one of my favorites gingerbread stouts to get during the Holiday season. You can really taste the ginger bread but also complements cinnamon

Not bad, but the lingering aftertaste makes it hard to recommend unless you really love gingerbread.

Definitely leaves an aftertaste but I think that's the gingerbread....unique, kind of thin.
