About This Beer
For this international collab, Ommegang teamed up with friends at Belgium’s Brasserie d’Achouffe. The duo started by brewing a smooth, blonde base fermented with Chouffe yeast — a Belgian strain with a pronounced spicy, fruity character. Then they hopped it with Styrian Golding for delicate earthy tones kissed with citrus.
Tasting Notes
Aromas of light fruit erupt out of every golden pour. On the sip, candi sugar courses into lush pear and crisp apple nuances sprinkled with coriander and clove. It’s all balanced by notes of wild grass and faint florals on the finish.

very heavy on the Belgian spice on first sip, very strong, got better the more I drank

Bright, orange gold color. Frothy beige head. Earthy, yeasty fruit aroma. Tangy malt flavor hints at citrus and dried apricots. Warming alcohol in middle. Funky, bittersweet notes on backend include a dose of resiny, piney hops. Delicious!

I really enjoy this one. Some Belgian. Some citrus. It’s an awesome collab that I was thrilled to see come back around.
