About This Beer
To make today’s sublime sipper, Kyle Harrop racked a rich, velvety Imperial Stout base into Pappy Van Winkle 23-year bourbon barrels for 23 whole months.
Tasting Notes
The 4.47 UT-rated dream that emerged boasts a full bouquet of top shelf bourbon aromas, followed on the absurdly-smooth sip by plenty of oaky vanilla, caramel, and spice. The malts’ roasty mocha tones combine with all that boozy cask character to reveal plum and raisin notes for days.
A hint of pipe tobacco lingers in the finish, along with a belly-warming 13.2% ABV.
