About This Beer
The crew at Firestone Walker took inspiration from the classic sidecar cocktail — if you think a mustachioed mixologist takes their time while crafting a classy libation, just wait until you hear about all the work that went into this beauty.
The brewers aged their tangy Sour Ale base in a combination of French cognac and orange bitters barrels for a whopping TWO YEARS! Then, they finished it off with a squeeze of fresh lemon juice, just like at a fancy bar.
Tasting Notes
It really does taste like an upscale, barrel-aged cocktail! You’ll discover notes of orange zest and tangy lemon. Hints of toffee and vanilla mingle with a kiss of honey, with a bit of hazelnut on the finish like a fine liqueur.

Firestone Gold Rider
Aroma: Massive vanilla bourbon booze and oak caramel.
Taste: The lemon juice is the dominant character of the flavor profile. The consistency of vanilla caramel, brown sugar, and barrel with the lemon juice creates a perfect balance. The beer is perfectly balanced with a slight tart/tangy finish. This beer drinks like a beer and taste like a craft cocktail.

This one tasted like if a beer and a Sprite were mixed together and then aged in a cognac barrel. I applaud the creativity but didn’t finish it.

Extremely smooth. Semi-high ABV, but very well-hidden. Just the slightest touch of citrus; barely noticeable.
