A Note on This Beer
Crafting the ideal champagne-to-OJ ratio in a mimosa is an ability few friends of mine have mastered. They always add way too much orange juice and totally drown out the crisp, refreshing joy of the bubbly.
If I wanted juice, I would’ve ordered it in a box with a fun, collapsible straw, dammit!
So when I learned San Francisco's Seven Stills Brewery crafted today’s Gose-Mosa Triple Kettle Sour, I almost jumped in my car and drove the 12hrs+ from Seattle to score a stash!
If I trust any team to nail the prime mimosa ratio, it’s Seven Stills. This craft crew collaborates with some of California’s most celebrated names, like Barebottle, Almanac, and Alvarado Street. Plus, they almost never make the same beer twice!
So when Gose-Mosa debuted mere days ago, locals swarmed the taproom, snatching up the brand new, limited-release brew!
Luckily, Tavour managed to sneak a tiny stash of the only cans leaving California.
The moment this fizzy pour spritzed against my lips, my eyes widened in amazement — they did it! They found the golden mimosa ratio!
Whether it’s brunch time, a really hot day that calls for bubbly refreshment, or you just feel like getting a little fancy, grab a stash of today’s Gose-Mosa. It’s time to show your buds how to really celebrate with a beer-mosa!
Clocking in at a praise-worthy 11.5% ABV, today’s Gose-mosa ain’t no wimpy cocktail.
Using fresh Sauvignon Blanc grape juice gives each effervescent sip a prominent taste of top-shelf Californian champagne. Each sparkling mouthful shines with notes of fresh-squeezed blood oranges and tangerines from the addition of pure fruit puree. This acidity helps to offset the grapes’ sweetness, creating a taste akin to a heavy pour of bubbly with a small-splash of OJ.
I’m never going back to sippin’ overly-juiced mimosas again.
