With rich flavors of bittersweet chocolate and toffee, today's delicately smoked brew just reminded me how much I love Schwarzbiers!

They’re so hard to come by these days, I almost forgot how well their smoky nuances pair with a juicy steak. Like @Phil F. says, Connecticut Valley’s Hand Over Heart Schwarzbier is a “smooth Lager with a nice smoky character.” It cuts through roasted potatoes and veggies with ease, washing down even the heartiest of meals.

It’s also a Dark Beer fan’s fantasy football-watching brew. @Olivia Z. calls it,  “Crushable!” It isn’t every day you find such a complex and flavorful dark brew that you can sip on for hours without feeling like you’re plastered to the couch. 

And, since there aren’t many Schwarzbeirs around these days, Hand Over Heart is a super tasty introduction to them. @Lisa M. raves, “New style for me. Smooth, light roast, dry finish. Very enjoyable.”
