A Note on This Beer
There are friends, and then there are beer friends.
The ones you geek out with over beer styles and who can name an IPA’s hop bill with their eyes closed. The friends who you don't have to drag to a new brewery or bottle release day because they're already there, saving you a place. They show you excellent new brews, and you tell them about even better ones.
For Portland's Ecliptic founder and brewing icon, John Harris, and California's Firestone Walker brewer Matt Brynildson, their beer-lationship began over 10 years ago. As two judges for the Great American Beer Festival, the duo argued about the best beer styles like an old married couple and have been friends ever since.
Years later, both brewers are still crushing the craft scene. Ecliptic was named one of the Top 5 Breweries at the US Open Beer Championship, standing out for their must-try fruity IPAs. While Firestone Walker keeps racking up GABF awards like legos.
Now, these brew buds have joined forces once again in celebration of Ecliptic's 5th Anniversary! Together, they've crafted today's limited Cosmic Collab Hazy DIPA as a one-time release and we’re giving our members an exclusive first sip of this epic hopbomb!
Combining Idaho 7, Azacca, El Dorado, and new, experimental HBC 692 Hops gives this DIPA layers of sweet melon with fresh pineapple. Zesty citrus spikes the finish with hoppy bitterness and hints of fresh mint, making this collab an ultra-refreshing, summer sipper.
Only available in the Northwest, we've scored a stash to share with you and your brew friends! Better grab two - friends don't let beer friends miss a collab brew.
