A Note on This Beer
All About Fresh Hops: This brew is packed with a bounty of Mosaic and Ekuanot Hops that went from field to brewery in mere hours! Fresh in your Face: You’ll feel like you’re part of the harvest, as bright aromas of grass and citrus fill the air. Fresh in your Mouth: A touch of lactose keeps the mouthfeel smoother than silk sheets.
Fremont Brewing’s taproom is always crowded. We know because we live here in Seattle, and we spend a LOT of time there. Like, almost an unreasonable amount. Almost.
And this week, it’s going to be beyond packed. We’re talking absolutely swarmed with hop-happy craft fiends looking for a taste of today’s Head Full of Fresh Hops: Mosaic and Ekuanot Hazy IPA.
Because it’s Fresh Hop season! These are the magical few weeks of the year when brewers from across the Pacific Northwest drive over the mountains to the gorgeous Yakima Valley and load up their trucks with heaps of hops picked off the vine just minutes earlier.
Then, to earn the “fresh hop” label on their cans, the brewers have to get those pungent cones into the brew kettle in a matter of hours!
But few breweries have the connections to snag the most primo hops directly from the growers. And even fewer have the fresh hop know-how that Fremont’s brewers pour into their beers. They’ve been making fresh hop brews for almost a decade!
Normally these hyper-limited beers barely leave the region, but since we’re so close with the fellas at Fremont, they’ve hooked us up with a stash to share with all of you. That means you can join the fresh hop party without trekking up here to the rainy Northwest!
Don’t miss this opportunity to taste a fresh hop brew from some serious aficionados of the style with Head Full of Fresh Hops. And you don’t even have to fight the crowds!
