About This Beer
I discovered the decadence of peanut butter and honey when I was nine, after my parents decided it was time for me to make my own lunches. They assumed I’d stick with the healthy options they’d taught — but again, I was nine.
I’m guessing the folks at Oliphant Brewing were just like me. They masterfully lured these flavors into a silky smooth Golden Ale!
It’s called Honees Honees, and it comes loaded with real honey and peanut butter, plus a dose of lactose for extra creaminess.
Tasting Notes
This beer tastes just like my all time favorite lunch. I’d smother two pieces of bread with peanut butter and drizzle it with honey. Smooshed together in one thick sandwich, it was ooey-gooey heaven!

Peanut Butter Beer is a great flavor. The honey was a tad overpowering for me. But overall it went down smooth and tasted pretty good.

Okay. There isn't quite enough peanut butter or honey for one of them to be the main flavor, and instead it's just kind of... Meh. I totally expected PB and honey to be great but somehow this just isn't.

Not a bad Golden Ale. Certainly sweeter than your average Golden Ale, but appropriately so. The honey really shines, but doesn’t detract from the ale flavors. Not nearly enough peanut butter. I noticed that they used real honey, but peanut butter flavoring, so that must be the case. It’s tasty and an easy drinking beer, but just above average. Could be a touch more bitter for the style.

Getting all of the flavors with this one; a nice golden ale, touch of sweetness from the honey, and subtle peanut butter. Would love more peanut butter!

Meh. Tastes like a very pedestrian ale. I don’t taste anything interesting like PB or honey.

Did not taste hints of honey nor peanut butter but was smooth.

Really loved this one! Just enough peanut butter taste but more smooth honey comes through. So happy I have another one!

Smooth and light taste of peanut a sweet taste left behind

FUCKING DELISH. It hit the spot of this nice clean peanut butter and honey taste. Nothing overboard but there until the very end

Light and airy peanut butter flavor, balanced out with a little touch of sweet from the honey.

I didn't taste the peanut butter but the honey flavor was very prevalent, not in a bad way though. I just wish it had more of a crisp bite to it. All in all not bad though

Didn't taste any peanut butter maybe some honey but just tasted like a less bitter beer to me

One of the most enjoyable beers I have ordered. Tastes like a spoonful of peanut butter, no bad after taste. Extremely enjoyable and light.

Not a bad beer. Didn’t taste the peanut butter and honey at first. It took a few sips to start tasting the combo. It tasted like a topical Budweiser or Coors beer in a can. But the flavors kicked in after about 25% after can was started on. Mellow and not over powering. Honey I guess was giving it sweetness. Not bad.

Loved this. Absolutely delicious. Reminded me of the Blue Moon salted pretzel beer from years back but the upscale version.

Delicious! I can definitely taste the peanut butter and the honey. As someone who had peanut butter and honey sandwiches as part of my childhood, this is another favorite now.

Very nutty and smooth, more on the peanut side than the honey side. Very nice sip

One of the best beers I have had from Tavour. It goes down easy and not too heavy with the PB or honey.

Ordered from Tavour in a pint can. Chilled and poured into an imperial pint glass.
Look: Carmel colored. Thin quarter sized tan head that hung a while, leaving a nice but small layer of foam and a light tan laving down the glass as we drank.
Smell: Smell isn’t too over the top in terms of the ingredients. We get a little honey (very light), but in the nose we do not get peanut butter. Malt is the main character in the nose.
Taste: light peanut butter first, followed by a hint of honey in the middle, then big malt that trails and lingers.
Feel: Light feel, medium carbonation, smooth finish (I am guessing from the lactose).
Overall pretty average beverage Somewhat refreshing given the honey and light peanut butter notes. We usually don’t go for beers that have things like “peanut butter flavoring” so we don’t have a lot to compare to.. The lack of peanut butter to a peanut butter and honey sandwich intent is somewhat disappointing.
Cheers.

Was a lot crisper than I was anticipating which is nice, but the peanut butter and honey wasn’t too prevalent. Would probably pair well with a charcuterie. Would buy again

Medium peanut butter on nose and palette, which was perfectly suited for a light ale like this.

Tastes like a golden ale with honey, and then the Peanut Butter hits.
